Abandoned Sydney TAFE

Last weekend I teamed up with a few friends to go on a Photography Excursion to an abandoned place. We hadn’t been in a while so we thought we definitely need to catch up, and where else but to the abandoned Sydney TAFE.

The TAFE closed down in 1999, and unbelievably they had left absolutely everything behind. Through the years of its closure, people have vandalized and destroyed the place which is quite sad. I don’t know what the fascination is with vandals who like to destroy things, I can not see how in any way it could be classified as ‘fun’.

The library was full of books, the classrooms with chairs, tables and computers, TV’s, projectors, microscopes in the science labs, test tubes and lets just say pretty much everything. Anyhow here are my photos from this amazing day.

  1. Hi there, is this true? How about nowdays after the closed TAFE? I went to TAFe but not NSW….

  2. Wow all I can say is that you are a great writer! Where can I contact you if I want to hire you?

  3. Wow, looks like a great place. There’s quite a number of abandoned places in Sydney that is definitely worth a visit, it reminds me of the abandoned tram yards in Glebe minus the trams obviously.
